Third Edition of the Productivity and Talent Development Forum, a complete success

The Forum on Productivity and Talent Development, "Competitiveness and Business Development" in its third edition, was a complete success, it counted with the presence of more than 350 people who enjoyed the presentations of great personalities part of the conference and the Experts Panel.

Index Mexicali held past Thursday September 29, this Forum about Productivity and Talent Development in its 3rd edition, led with the keynote speech by Pedro Ferriz de Con, with the theme "Talent Development and Human Capital: The Great Task for Mexico".


The event had the presence of foreign executives from different maquiladora’s corporates as well as managers and CEOs of established plants in this city. And it was also attended by officials from the three government levels, as well as presidents of business organizations and educational sector.

Salvador Maese, President of Index Mexicali accompanied by Federico Serrano, President of National Index and Carlo Bonfante, Secretary of Economic Development of the Government of the State of Baja California, chaired the inauguration if the event.
The Forum consisted of an exhibition area containing 36 stands of maquiladoras and services companies, sponsors were the mainstay of the event’s success.

In the conference’s areas the attendees enjoyed the presentation by Holly Petroff, Executive Vice President of Great Place to Work, who opened up the event with the theme "The Great Place to Work Era".

"Challenge and Talent Development" was the theme presented by Manuel Herrera, President of the Confederation of Industrial Chambers (CONCAMIN), where he stressed that in 128 economies, Mexico ranks 61 on innovation and ranks fifth in terms of quality of innovation within the group of emerging economies (below China, India, Brazil and South Africa).

The conference theme of the Executive Director of Opex Mexico Academy, M.B.A. Abel Gomez, was "Operational Excellence; Competitive Advantage”, where he stressed that the guiding principles that lead to the ideal behavior are results, culture, systems and tools managed by the individual to succeed in their businesses.

Before closing with a flourish with the presentation by Pedro Ferriz de Con, attendees heard the expert’s panel, enriched by personalities such as:

PhD. Fernando Leon, CETYS University Rector, Eng. Cesar Castro, President of West CANIETI  and former Index National President; Mr. Arnoldo Cabada, General Director of Channel 66; Lic. Luis Aguirre, President of Sanmina Group and Former National Index President, Lic. Gustavo Fernandez, President of the Mexican Model of Dual Training and of course, Salvador Maese, Index Mexicali President.
